Vmware Workstation Lab

I have a HP Envy 17" laptop with Intel i7 4700MQ CPU, 12GB RAM, 250GB SSD and 1TB HDD and i want to do some studying.  I want cover some VMware training and also things like MS server 2012, Powershell, networking.  Looking to move jobs and want to get some experience of different roles being advertised.  I dont expect to become expert over night but i want to at least have a starting point and hopefully in time work towards some exams.

My question is can i create a working test lab to practice and learn on this laptop? ive seen some posts about running esxi inside workstation but then some people writing some things wont boot as its not possible to run 64bit inside virtual machines? unless ive miss read the article.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You can run nested 64bit vm on workstation. This hint may help you to configure it.

Hi,

You can use as well Autolab which will allow you to have fully working environment in minutes. http://www.labguides.com/autolab/
