VmWorkStation Black Screen

Hi.

I have a laptop running on Win 10 Pro, and I created a virtual machine with Win Xp Sp3, this vm was running ok for a few months, but one day suddenly when I had restarted the vm (win xp), it do turns on, but I can not log in, because only i see a black screen, I know that the vm is running because i can connect it via vnc, but also have black screen. Searching on google i found that I have to down the resolution of the display in my vm configuration, but not worked, I have tried all options of resolution display and nothing, i need to access that vm, and i am desperate.

I have vm workstation 10.0.7.

I can not install the vmware tools, because i can not log in.

If you need more information, i will gladly offer it.

I appreciate all help.

Thanks in advance.

It's a tricky one being Windows XP! Just a suggestion:

Have you tried lowering the hardware compatible to maybe Workstation 6? If you click on the VM and go manage you can change it in there.

Note the VM must be powered off and if the data on the VM is important, backup the .vmdk files before just to be safe.
