Vista requires activation - again

Workstation 6.02

Vista Business

I have a development system that I use at 2 locations. I update my Dev system at home, then copy it to my computer at work. When I do this, Vista wants to be activated again with 3 days. While my hardware is different at each location, I thought that VMWare was supposed to offer a consistant platform.

Also, I am thinking of using VMPlayer to have a user test some software, but if my they need to re-activate vista within 3 days, after every update, it's going to be very inconvenient, not to mention wipe out my licenses.

Ideas?

1) Install your development system on a laptop. Use the same laptop at work and home.

2) Install your development on a "server". Access "server" remotely from work or home.

3) Buy second instance of Vista for second installation. Keep moving "data" only.

4) Post your question also in MS forums, they should know better how licensing works. They might help (or not).
