Vista audio driver issue with VMware workstation 6 - updated one

I currently have an issue with installing audio driver in Vista using VMware workstation 6.0.

I have downloaded the Realtek driver. This is unsuccessful as far as installing audio in vista. What can I use to successfully install the audio in vista so that it doesn't create any audio error and able to hear the audio sound when I am in Vista?

Please let me know. Thank you

Does the virtual machine virtual hardware summary show that the VM has a virtual sound adapter installed?

Is this a 32 bit or 64 bit Vista guest OS?

If 32 bit guest OS, you could run the windows update it should install the driver for creative ES1371

I have a similar problem with a 32 bit Vista VMware 6 VM.

VMTools is installed and shows the audio checked.

Workstation shows the audio as connected.

I can't use Windows Update because I think IT blocks it. IT updates our systems with selective updates on a regular basis.

I downloaded ES1371.zip from DriverGuide.com, expanded it and pointed to it from the Device Manager's Multimedia Adapter reinstall driver dialog. It didn't recognize it. I then ran the setup.exe in the ES1371.zip and rebooted. Still no audio.

Any ideas? Thanks.
