Assuming you are running a Windows 10 or 11 host operating system, you may need to totally disable Hyper-V to allow the native VMware hypervisor to work.
Search the forum for information on how to disable Hyper-V in Windows. It involves removing all Hyper-V Windows components, disabling Virtualization Based Security and Memory Integrity features, and setting the hypervisorlaunchtype off via bcd edit.
