Not matter whatever I do, I always get 4mb as video memory,
already installed vmware tools, but it didn't anything, I'm currently using windows 10 x64 as host and as guest as well.
currently running on 16GB ram and a nvidia GTX 1080.
tried changing svga.vramSize, but it didn't anything. anyway, it was actually set to svga.vramSize = "268435456" by default.
Hi,
Please read the following threads.
See this answer from BlueFireStorm:
https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Workstation-Pro/Graphics-memory-stuck-on-128mb/td-p/513352
and this explanation from Banackm about newer 3D enabled showing 4MB VRAM whereas older drivers showed 128MB:

idk what happened to my acc, coming back, idc the video memory value specifically but the fact adobe illustrator doesn't work properly, and isn't detecting the gpu
and due that, is a FPITA to work with this small dialog every time I make a change using the new Adobe's 3d feature, because isn't using the gpu correctly. ofc I kvm'd my environment as temporally solution.
but as far I see, increasing "that supposed memory the vm can use", haven't improved anything. hope this is fixed asap.
