Every time I try to tell VMWare to use Intel VT -x/EPT I get an error
saying it's disabled in my bios. I've checked my bios multiple times
and it is enabled. Vitrual PC 2007 sees it as enabled and allows me to
use the hardware assisted virtualization option. I've seen other people
with simliar issues, but haven't seen any resolution yet. Is there a
fix for this?

Core i7 920
12 GB RAM
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P motherboard
Windows 7 64- bit beta
The problem may well be Windows 7. However, others have reported this
same issue with Vista 64-bit so I'm inclined to believe there may be
another issue.
- - Check to see if there is a newer BIOS available for your motherboard.
- - If you've changed your VT settings in your BIOS you should power off your computer and back on again (a warm reboot doesn't work).
- - What version of VMware Workstation do you have installed?

It's not the processor, it could be your BIOS. VT mode works will on P6T deluxe with i7-920 under XP and Vista 64. Able to run Windows 7 X64 under both operating systems in a VM.
Thanks for the suggestions. My Bios definitely has it enabled and toggling it with hard reboots hasn't fixed it. However, there is a beta BIOS available. I'll try that out as well as the other suggestions and report my findings.
Please check out the document that Scissor referred to (). It includes a utility to determine whether or not your BIOS is working properly and a workaround for some buggy BIOSes.
It turns out it was the Bios. The VT check tool showed all the processors unlocked. After updating my Bios it showed them all as supporting VT. VMWare is also working with it properly. Thanks for your help.
