I'm using VMware in Unity mode, and I'm looking to use the VIX API to control the VM. I want to be able to launch programs, as well as launch unity mode. My host is Ubuntu, and my guest is Windows 7. Here's what I've come up against:
- Is it possible to use the VIX API to enter unity mode? I can't find any information on it.
- I can use vmware-unity-helper to run programs in the guest without supplying a user name/password, how can I do that with the VIX API? I've tried not supplying the information to VixVM_LoginInGuest, but it doesn't let me log in.
If neither of these things are possible, I could always just run vmware-unity-helper on its own, but I would like to try and use the VIX API for better integration with existing stuff.
