I upgraded VMware Workstation from 12.5.3. to 12.5.4 and it asked me to upgrade my VMware tools which I did on my Windows 7 guest OS. However during the vmware tools upgrade process I received the following error:
VMware Tools unrecoverable error: (vthread-4)
Exception 0xc0000005 (access violation) has occurred.
You can request support.
I've tried uninstalling and installing the following VMware tools versions with the same error:
10.0.9-3917699
10.1.0-4449150
10.1.5-5055683
10.1.5-5055693
Copy and Paste no longer works between guest and host OS
VMware Tools icon is missing in the notification taskbar
Video is not scaling at the same resolution as all other previous versions of workstation for this guest OS.
