VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (vmui)

Hi all,

I suddenly got my vmware workstation 11 crash, with this log:

https://bitbucket.org/snippets/rakotomandimby/XB4g

As I dont launch it at session start I dont really know what action (some upgrade or what) broke it...

Using ArchLinux up-to-date with nouveau drivers

Would you know?

I am also having this issue.  I am running VMware Workstation 11 on Arch Linux.

The vmui crashes intermittently when I am starting and stopping VMs, but will consistently crash when I attempt to "Install VMware Tools" from the VM pulldown menu.

After more tests, it crashes for me:

  • Systematically when I try to connect to a remote server, but not when network is enabled (if it cant resolve remote hostname, it doesnt crash)
  • Systematically when I check for updates, but not when network is enabled (if it cant resolve remote hostname, it doesnt crash)
  • Randomly when I start a VM (being network connected or not)

It's a shame, but I'm happy not be alone... Smiley Wink

By the way, I also asked on the Archlinux mailing list, but no answer yet.
