I am getting this error in VMware Workstation with the following:
VERIFY bora\apps\lib\cui\vmStatusVIM.cc:230 bugnr=844120
Anybody know this error and how to fix it.

In my case, the error turned out to be caused by an older version of %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\vmx86.sys that was persisting across upgrades. I removed all VMware software and cleaned up. I haven't experienced any errors since reinstalling.
