VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (svga) (Resolved)

Hi,

I receive the following error when trying run

Windows 7 (64bit) VMWare Workstation VMware® Workstation 16 Pro

16.1.0 build-17198959

VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (svga)
Unexpected signal: 4.
A log file is available in "/home/aaron/vmware/Windows 7 x64/vmware.log".
You can request support.

The Host operating system I was running is Ubuntu 18.04

I haven't registered the VMWare bundle yet as I am trialing it out

Thanks,

Aaron

I think I am experiencing the problem mentioned here:

https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Workstation-Pro/VMware-Workstation-unrecoverable-error-SVGA...

Will try downgrading VMWare and see 8f that solves the problem.

I am still getting the problem running version 15 as well. I have attached the log file from version 15. Does anyone know if version 12 is still available to download? From memory that is the last version I used and it worked for me. However, I think I have changed desktop machines since then (years ago).

Edit:

My host specs are:

Processor: AMD® Phenom(tm) ii x4 965 processor × 4

Graphics: NV117

OSType: 64bit

Solved the problem by installing VMWare Player version 14:
VMware-Player-14.1.7-12989993.x86_64.bundle
