VMware Workstation and Hibernation

I have a strange problem with VMware Workstation that I have not been able to get resolved. It seems that anytime the host computer hibernates, all VM's lose their network connectivity. This problem will persist until the host computer is restarted as restarting the VM's or VMware Workstation has no effect. This behaviour has been noticed all other different machines as well, with VMware Workstation 7.x and 8.x

My current test lab consists of a Windows 2008 R2 DC with DHCP 2 Windows 2008 file servers and six physical Windows 7 Enterprise machines all connected to the 2008 R2 domain.

There has never been a problem with any of the physical machines losing their connectivity just the VM's which sort of confusing. Also when I try ipconfig /release and /renew on the VM's they time out not finding the DHCP and auto assign using APIPA .

This problem is more annoying  than anything, I was wondering if there was a known problem with this.

Thanks in Advance
