VMware Workstation Pro 16.2 - Multi Monitor layout keeps switching when the host machine is on VPN

Multi-Monitor Layout Keeps randomly switching back to the single monitor layout only when the host machine is on VPN.

VirtualBox does not have this issue not sure why this is happening on VMware Workstation Pro. Please help!

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a Ubuntu VM in VMware Workstation Pro 16.2 (16.2.2 build-19200509), and ensure your host machine is connected to a VPN
2. Floating ToolBar -> Choose Monitor Layout -> Select, 2 screens Layout.
   
3. After some time (2 mins or 10 mins - this behavior is sporadic). You will notice your 2 screen layout will switch to single-screen layout.
   

   Automatically changes to Single Screen Layout.
   
   

   Please Note - The issue only happens when the host machine is connected to the VPN. I am not sure what is trigging VMware to flip the layout. Any help is massively appreciated!

I am having the exact same problem, and realized now that it only does it when connected to VPN.  

I am running a Win7 guest, and 16.2.4 VMWare Pro.

Any help would really be appreciated.
