VMware Workstation 9.0.0 build-812388 - Transport (VMDB) error -44: Message. The VMware Authorization Service is not running

Hello Everyone

This is my first post ever, i am trying to install Windows 2008 server on my laptop running VMware Workstation 9.0 and it is giving me the following error message:

"Transport (VMDB) error -44: Message. The VMware Authorization Service is not running"

Does the Centos VM work ?
If yes - there is an error in the new Windows 2008 VM - attach the vmx-file and the vmware.log to your next post.
If no - open service management and try to start the vmware authorization service.
If that service can not be started - try the same from a cmd box and report the error message
