VMware Workstation 16. (16.1.0 build-17198959) Taking Snapshots freezing.

Hi,

When I take snapshots with Virtual Machine powered on. I am noticing that the system seems to freeze for a number of seconds on 0%. Then after say 30 seconds or so the percentage counter starts to go up. (It can sometime take longer).

I also have all the Hyper-V extensions installed as well. (Although not running a Hyper-V VM at the time)

So my question is. Is this to be expected? I am guessing that is has to pass through the Microsoft API that it did not have to before.

I am interested in finding out more about how this is implemented and what to expect.

I ran into the same issue but in the meantime found the solution. Also slow snapshot loading etc, seems an update had activated Hyper-V somehow, which caused this issue.
