VMware Workstation 15.5.7-17171714 Setup Wizard ended prematurely because of an error

Excuse me, my English is not good, I'll try my best.

Because of my job situation,I have to use Windows 7 (64bit) for my PC, can`t change it to Win 10.

My PC didn`t installed any VMware Workstation before. But just can not install it successfully.

When the first time I`ve got this problem,I`ve tried to  uninstall and remove all previous VMware files and registry entries(actually most of them doesn`t exist).

I used CCleaner to remove registry entries. And installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2008/2010/2013/2015-2019 redistribution packages.

But it didn`t work. Then I reinstalled the Windows 7 64bit Oprate system, with no other applications, just some necessary drivers and Visual C++ redistribution packages.

The result is same as before.

And I`ve read several threads here, didn`t help.

It always stop when it shows"Installing vmx".

I`ll upload my vmins.log and vmmis.log file, maybe it helps.

My first suggestion would be to ensure you have updated the Win7 Host. Specifically with KB4474419 to ensure it can validate SHA2 Digital Signatures.

Thank you very much for the reply, It really helps.

Though my Windows update function doesn`t work, finally I found some other way to have this done.

And then the VMware workstation was installed successfully!
