Has anyone see an issue where on a Windows 8.1 x64 computer that Workstation 11/12 launches then immediately disappears? I initially has 12 installed, but when I ran into this error I uninstalled then installed 11, same issue.
I've tried the following:
- Repairing Workstation 12
- Uninstalling 12, reboot
- Installing 11, reboot
- Launching vmware.exe -x <path to .vmx> same issue
- Temporarily disabling AV while running Workstation
- Looking into Windows logs for cause
- Confirmed UAC was disabled
- Manually launching VM Player same issue (box pops up then disappears)
I can't think of much else to try other than install on a different workstation. Any suggestions would be helpful.
