VMware Workstation-10.0.1 fails after RedHat-6 software update.

After updating software on a RedHat-6 system (yum update), workstation-10.0.1 will 'crash' the system.

The update included:

kernel-2.6.32-431

glib2-2.12-1.132

The 'Bug Tracking' tool reports problems with glib2 and kernel 'hang'.

Suggestion?

Thanks!

10.0.2 release notes.  Not sure if it fixed the RHEL 6.5 kernel issue with Windoze 7 guests.  Can anyone confirm?

Well, I upgraded everything and Windows 7 didn't lock up my RHEL 6.5 workstation, yet.

On my RHEL 6.4 kernel, I upgraded VMware Workstation for Linux from 10.0.1 to 10.0.2 and booted the Windows 7 VM (just to ensure everything was still fine).

Then I upgraded my RHEL6 kernel from 2.6.32-358.23.2 (RHEL 6.4) to 2.6.32-431.5.1 (RHEL 6.5).

I'll test with the very latest RHEL6 kernel soon, version -431.11.2, but I'm sure there won't be an issue.

Looks good so far after running 10 minutes or so.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback of the past couple months.

Uninstalling Workstation 10.0.1 and installing 10.0.2 fixed the issue for me under RHEL 6.5 (64bit on 64bit).
