VMware WS Pro 16.1 /dev/vmmon Error after reboot Linux Host

Hi,

since the Upgrade from 15.x.y up to 16.1, in every single release, after a host reboot, vmware ws fails to start any vm guest.

It tells /dev/vmmon could not be loaded, or the need of recompiling of the vmmon and vmnet modules, but fails to do so.
The host OS is SLES 15.1 / 15.2 (with workstation extensions)

The only thing which is working: uninstall vmware workstation, then reinstall, then it works, until the next reboot.

This sounds as if the init script were not run on boot. Does running "/etc/init.d/vmware start" help?

That did the trick.

The insserv package was not installed, thats why the chkconfig command did not insert vmware into the start.

Thanky for your help!
