VMware WS 12.5.7 fails to build vmnet on RHEL7

So today after a post-patch reboot to my RHEL 7 install, Workstation tells me it needs to update several modules. It goes through the motions and fails its attempt to build vmnet. The log output is as follows:

Thanks for that, it worked like a charm. Kinda surprised that didn't show up at any point in all the searching I did yesterday though.
