VMware Player windows 8.1 32 bit cannot install AMD graphics drivers

First I am running 64 bit kali and am using VMware Player with windows 8.1 32 bit to play games. It is a completely fresh install with nothing on it. I downloaded Diablo 3 and when I run it, it just crashes on startup which is most likely the graphics drivers. So when I go to install the catalyst software suite it just says failed to install. The auto detection and install program they provide cannot detect my OS.

That is the expected behaviour.
A VM needs the VMware Video driver - it has no AMD video card so it makes no sense to try to install the catalyst software.

Hi, Thanks for using Workstation!

1. if you want to install AMD GPU dirvers on your host (64bit Kali), you need to download the driver from:

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Linux+x86

if you have problems with installing this driver, please give details information about what you hit, and other people can help you.

2. on your guest(Win8.1), you should install the latest VMware tools.

Thanks,

Rachel
