I just installed the trial version of VMware 7 WS. Since that, I can't use Easy Connect (Remote Support Software included in Win 7) anymore, I get the message "Easy Connect is not available".
The two virtual network adapters that VMware installs in your Host most likely has triggered your Host's firewall to the "Public" profile, which would prevent incoming Easy Connect connections. To fix this, you can run the PowerShell script here: http://www.nivot.org/2008/09/05/VMWareVMNETAdaptersTriggeringPublicProfileForWindowsFirewall.aspx
Even though the web page mentions Vista, the script works for Win7 too.
