I recently upgraded from VMware 6.2 to version 6.5 on my Vista Home Premium machine which is the host system. The guest OS is Solaris 10. I upgraded originally to hopefully fix a different issue that my VMware was having and it seems to have corrected it, however it also broke the drag and drop feature.
After installing VMware tools (uninstalled the older version) we restarted the Guest OS inside of VMware (later rebooted the Host OS too). The Drag and Drop feature worked for one or two file transfers, bidirectionally, then it stopped working. The cursor would not move past the Desktop boundary when dragging a file. If we go into the menu VM, then settings and options and disable the drag and drop and copy/paste feature, then reenable it, the drag and drop will work for a few more transfers, then stop working again. These are small files less than 20KB in size.
