VMWorkstation Client - To Provide IPs

Hello all

I have looked about but cannot get any further information on this.

Before I begin here is the environment created

HOST - Windows 8 Pro

VMClient - (Installed on host Workstation9) - Windows Server 2008 (Active directory, DHCP, DNS )

NICS -  2 Installed

Nic1   -   ISP Provided IP

Nic 2  -  192.168.1.3 , 255.255.255.0 Gate 127.0.0.1

My base aim is to set up the vm server 2008 to be completely in control of servicing clients and be the gateway for the Internet.

I have managed to give the VM complete control of my Public IP so the VM is currently the only one with the internet. This was accomplished by bridging

the Network adapter  (NIC1) from the Host ( Win8 ) and disabling all protocols on the host NIC barring VMware Bridge Protocol

The problem I am currently facing is that I have no idea whatsoever how to configure NIC2 from the HOST to get  an IP from the DHCP server (VMWorkstation Server2008)

and indeed how to configure this in VMware too.

Help much appreciated.

Steve
