Hello Everyone,
I have a VMware workstation 16 installed on windows desktop.
But If I create a VM on VMware workstation then no ip address is assigned to the VM. Even though I pick 'bridge option' in the vmware settings. I am not sure what needs to be configured on VMWare workstation.
Thanks,
Sachin
In bridged mode, it's the DHCP server in your network which is responsible to offer IP settings.
With "NAT", or "Host Only" it's VMware Workstation's DHCP service, which assign the network settings. Does it work with one of these settings?

When I picked NAT option, VM is assigned an IP address.
Ok, this means that VMware Workstation works as expected.
Next check your DHCP server on the network. Maybe it has some log files, which will explain what's happening. In case your host is connected to a Wi-Fi network, verify whether it has a setting which restricts DHCP offers for a given connection.
As a side note: Unless the VM needs to be accessed from the physical network, NAT might be the better option.
