VMWare on Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid)

I know it's bleeding edge but I was trying to get VMWare Workstation 7 running on a Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) Alpha 1 host. The vmnet module is not compiling:

Dec 11 07:18:22.863: app-3078686400| Building module with command: /usr/bin/make -C /tmp/vmware-root/modules/vmnet-only auto-build SUPPORT_SMP=1 HEADER_DIR=/lib/modules/2.6.32-7-generic/build/include CC=/usr/bin/gcc GREP=/usr/bin/make IS_GCC_3=no VMCCVER=4.4.2

Dec 11 07:18:27.116: app-3078686400| Failed to compile module vmnet!

The other modules compile fine.

Any ideas? Thanks.

You almost certainly need the patch I had posted for compatibility with the 2.6.32 kernel. It is in the community somewhere. Smiley Happy I have the 2.6.32 kernel working with Karmic, which required that patch as well.
