VMWare beta 6 (Strange Error)

Hi guys I'm Antonio from Italy,

I have a realy BIG ISSUE

there is the screenshot of error: http://img206.imageshack.us/my.php?image=erroreho4.jpg

My CPU is an AMD Athlon X2 3800+

Host OS: Linux Ubuntu 6.10 (guest WIndows XP pro sp2)

I've this problem only with SMP Kernel like 2.6.17-11 generic SMP or the lasp 2.6.20 generic with SMP support

If I start my system with a 386 kernel like 2.6.17-11 i386 without dual core support vmware works great.

Why ?

When VMWare crash the output on terminal is:

coobox@coobox-pc:~$ vmware

Using log file /tmp/vmware-coobox/ui-5141.log

Hi Antonio,

The screenshot of the error you posted, referenced two files.

Please reproduce the issue and submit a "online service request."[/url] with the files reported in the error message.

Also include information about your system Make/model CPU, RAM, host OS, Guest OS..etc

In the future, should have an issue with the WS 6 beta software, post your issue here.
