VMWare Workstation and guest application using multicast

Hi there,

I am currently evaluating VMware Workstation (release 10.0.0 build-1295980)

Host OS Version is Windows Server 2008 R2 Entreprise Edition, 64bits 6.1.7601, SP1

Guest OS is Windows 7 PRO

In the guest OS, I try to launch an application using multicast communication (Group address 224.64.16.1)

That leads to a VM crash, with the following log (extract)

Did someone observe similar problems?

Any advices are more than welcome.

After further investigation the crash pb was due to jumbo packet configuration. Must be disabled with current VMWare Workstation usage.

Could you try to change the virtual network card to VMX-net3 instead?
