I have a Dell Precision T7400 Workstation with a fresh install of Win7 x64 and my VMs are running ridiculously slow
The machine has 2 quadcore 2.66GHz Xeon processors, 32GB of RAM and a 1TB HDD. It's all patched up, has the latest drivers and running VMWare Workstation 7.0.1. Also, the VT and Direct I/O options are enabled in the BIOS. BIOS is latest version A05.
The VM's are XP and don't require anything crazy, in fact they run great on my Optiplex 755, much faster.
