VMWare Workstation Pro - Freezing the Host system when Host is on battery power

Hi -
I am running VMWare Workstation Pro v17.
I have a situation where when my Host laptop is disconnected from battery power, the entire Host system freezes and I must forcibly reboot. This only happens while running a VM in VMWare Workstation. This does not occur while plugged into power, and I have replicated with with different Guest VMs (Win 10 Pro and Win 11 Pro).

I have a Dell Precision 5570 with 64GB RAM and an Intel i9-12900H 2.50 GHz, on Windows 11 (22H2).

This issue occurs regardless of the Guest VM configuration (I have tried changing various permutations of memory, CPU settings).  3D Acceleration is disabled.  I have also tried disabling C-States in the Dell BIOS after hearing this could be a problem.

Not sure if this is an issue with VM Ware or something on my Host that would cause this.  Looking to see if anyone else has seen this behavior and/or if there are some suggested diagnostic activities I could try to narrow this down.  Happy to provide more details as needed.
