VMWare Workstation Pro 17 Super Slow on Virtual Windows 10 and Won't work as VMWare Windows 11

Hi,

I setup a Virtual Machine first as a Virtual Windows 10 with specifications

Windows 10 Virtual Specifications.jpg

My Computer has 64 GB RAM and Processor is Interl(R) Core (TM)  i7-12700F

The Virtual Machine is hosted on HDD as split disks. It's super slow.

What are ways to make a Virtual machine better using the Workstation Pro 7 for Windows 10?

I also tried setting up a new Virtual Machine for Windows 11 x64. This keeps crashing. I ended up removing it and chose to use the Windows 10 one and later upgrade it to Windows 11 but the Windows 10 one is too slow and need recommendations to improve performance.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thank You

try disabling power throttling for Workstation by opening a command prompt as administrator and executing

powercfg /powerthrottling disable /path "C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation\x64\vmware-vmx.exe"
