VMWare Workstation Hardware Combability ESXI 8.0

Hi all,

 

I've came across a strange situation where if I try to change the hardware combability of a VM to ESXI 8;0, the option does not exist, but previous versions like 70, 6.5 are available.

I'm running the latest version of Workstation 17.0.2 build-21581411. Has anyone came across this situation before and managed to resolve it?

ESXi 8 was released after Workstation 17, but they use the same VM hardware version (20)
