VMWare Workstation: Expand/ Collapse Tree Settings

hi,

i have the following problem with Workstation 14.

When i enter a Server with virtual machines on it, they are (the tree) all expanded already so i cant really keep an overview.

I couldnt find any settings or reg keys that would solve the problem.

Is there somewhere a hidden setting to solve this?

Perfect solution would be: Setting to collapse all folders by default.

Really appreciate any help in fixing the issue.

What version of VMware Workstation are you using?  The default was changed in Workstation 14 to leave remote inventories initially collapsed.

Hmm... I can't reproduce your problem.  With Workstation 14.0 on Windows, when I connect to ESX or VC servers, the list of VMs on them is initially collapsed.

Are you running Workstation on Windows or on Linux? (Please provide details about your environment!)
