VMWare Workstation 9 - Install in silent mode

Hi!

Im trying to install VMWare Workstation 9 with a bat-script.

It is installing successfully, but it doesn´ttake the Serial from the script. I have to enter the Serial after installation manuelly in Workstation 9 to start a virtual machine.

Here is my script:

Msiexec /i "\\Path\vmwareworkstation_x64.msi" /qn REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS ADDLOCAL=ALL DESKTOPSHORTCUT=1 SERIALNUMBER="XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX"

Do you see there any failures?

I hope somebody has an idea...

Welcome to the Community,

rather to extracting the installation package and running the .msi file you should run the .exe file directly with the appropritate permissions. Please take a look at Re: VMware Workstation 8 SERIALNUMBER property doesn't work to see whether this helps with version 9 too.
