VMWare Workstation 14 Pro lockup Linux host's input while guest is freezing.

I'm using Linux Mint 19 which is based on Ubuntu 18.04. So I think this host OS should be considered as a "Supported" one?

But actually, I cannot use VMware workstation 14 Pro seamlessly. It sometimes lockups the host's input while the guest is frozen. And never recover.

So the problem is although the host machine is not frozen and works perfectly, as VMware has captured all inputs, I cannot even detach from the frozen guest and completely lose control of my computer. The only thing I can do is to hard reboot my computer and doubtlessly lose all my works.

Well, it looks like I am not the only one: Guest locking up host on Linux hosts  Although he is using Ubuntu 18.10 which is claimed as "Unsupported".

Currently, I am just using Virtualbox as an alternative. Any suggestion?

Well, hope someone can take a look at this kind of issue.

It actually makes it unusable at all. Nobody will accept software that may cause you to lose all works.
