VMWare Workstation 12, Ubuntu 15.04, no battery status in guest

Ubunu host, VMWare Workstation 12.  Windows 10 guest.  Host battery status does not show in guest.

Hi,

Maybe a silly question to ask, but..

As you are not mentioning it, did you actually pass on the battery information to the guest in the guest settings?

Eg. In VMware Workstation -> Settings of this guest -> Tab Options -> Option Power -> and check "Report battery information to guest"
