Hi,
I know it's a very known problem, but difficult to solve, I cannot install VMWare Workstation V11 (tried with older version 8, the same) since as soon as I click on the installer, I have a grey screen and installation seems hanging there.
Tried the same with VMWare Player, same result, even with older versions...
No way to close the grey screen, unless killing the process.
My case is Thinkpad T510 laptop, native W7 64 bit, Intel i5 processor, 4 Gb ram, Java utility installed and 100% updated, Nvidia GPU, nothing strange.
Only Microsoft Security Essential running, no other AV nor firewalls...
I've tried to register couple of files as read around on this community, but with this did not solve the problem.
I see this being a quite known problem and it's absurd not to have a way to solve it by VMWare....
Any help is extremely appreciated!
