VMWare WS 12 pro, Windows 10 guest, font size forced for 125 %

I had this problem already with Windows 7 guest.

The font size in the virtual machine is forced to 125 %.

Can you change this, VMWare Team. Thank you.

Btw: loading the forum page takes a very long time.

Same issue as here I suppose: Windows guest loses font scale (VMWS 12 pro)  :

WS12 has introduced a new option... that is unfortunately (for me) set/ticked by default : Automatically adjust user interface size in virtual machine .

You can find this in each VM settings, in Hardware TAB, under display option "Display Scaling".

Just untick it and this should be OK on next VM reboot after you had set your wanted scaling.

On my own, as I totally needn't this, I've disabled the option *globally* by adding this in config.ini (located here on x64 machine : C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware Workstation ) :

# Avoid having 125% font display on high DPI (virtual) monitor
gui.applyHostDisplayScalingToGuest = "false"

So that I hadn't to do the untick for *each* existing VM... ! 😉
