VMWare Player 14 vs. 12.5 on Windows 10 Pro 64

All was working fine with 12.5 and then I was offered an upgrade and took it.  Ooops!

Now all vestiges of VMWare Player and the VMs are all gone!

I downloaded 14 and it will not install it seems.

Back to 12.5.

Anything I should know?

The situation was fixed by running DISM and SFC.

What do you mean that "the VMs are all gone"? If the VM list didn't display on the main page, you can open the VM by "File -> Open a VM".

Well, the emphasis should be on:

"all vestiges of VMWARE are gone"

Hard to deal with VMs without Player, eh?

So, there is no Main Page.

Can you give more details:

    1. Guest OS information
    2. Detailed steps about how to reproduce this issue. If you can't install the WS 14, what error do you meet ?
    3. ui log (should be under %TEMP%, you can get detailed log location under "Help > About VMware Workstation ")
