VMWare 11 Mouse Gimbal Lock

Windows 7 guest running under Windows 8 host (no touch screen).

Since upgrading to VMWare 11 I have noticed far more instances of mouse Gimbal Lock than I ever remember experiencing previously.

Is there a setting to reduce this happening?

Or, is there any way of turning off all guest touch-screen settings?  I remember having historic gimbal lock issues with Lightwave when Wacom pad settings were used instead of 'plain' mouse settings.

Well I have (partially) answered my own question.

I discovered the following .vmx line disables touch, and eliminated gimbal lock in one of my test situations.

touchscreen.vusb.present = "FALSE"

If anyone using 3D graphics programs or games experiences issues; this is worth a try pending a better solution.
