VM sharing between Linux and Windows (in Dual Boot).

I have several VMs created with Workstation 16 Pro in Win10Pro.
In Virtual Network Editor I have created Virtual Adapter Host Only in order to manage both a complex virtual network and to make use of my real network.
For convenience I have assigned a name to these Virtual Adapters referring to networks (WAN - LAN - DMZ1 - DMZ2, V-WAN, V-LAN, V-DMZ).
I now have to use these VMs in Linux (with Dual Boot) and I thought it was enough to export the Virtual Network Editor configuration.
Instead:

  • In Linux, there is no way to import the Windows configuration.
  • There is no way to rename the Virtual Adapters which will therefore be called vmnet1, vmnet2, vmnet3, etc. In this way you must always remember which network the V.A. refer or use written notes somewhere.

Also, to create V.A. Host Only I must also indicate the MTU value.

Is this the case or is there something wrong with my VMWare Workstation Pro 16 configuration?
Because if this is the case, it is not possible to use VMs in a Dual Boot environment so as not to have to change the configurations of each VM every time.

I had no trouble simply copying the VMware folders from Windows to Linux or back and just opening them.  VMware took care of everything.

I talked about the Virtual Network Editor and the Virtual Adapter, not the Virtual Machine folders
