VM on Windows 7 with access to the internet

Hi everyone,

I've got a Debian Linux iso to create a VM from this address: http://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian/dists/squeeze/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/

This image needs to download some packages from the internet, but I don't know why can't I have access to the web. I'm in a corporative network that has a proxy, however I've already tried set the proxy during the installation and it still doesn't work.

I"m using VMWare workstation 6.5, and I wonder if it is some missing configuration on the VMware or on Windows 7. I've also tried to connect to the internet other Linux VMs that I've already created (Ubuntu and an older Debian) but none of them could access the internet (even setting the proxy).

Could you help me on that?

Thanks in advance,

Have you tried bridge?  I seem to have better luck with that setting.

What are the settings for your interface on the workstation side?  NAT, Bridged, ect?
