VM can ping 8.8.8.8 but no internet via browser, Bridge working fine.

Hi,

I'm going through a strange issue in VMware Workstation 16.1.0 build-17198959 and have tried fresh installation of both windows, and VMware workstation as well.

The VM connects to the NAT Network (receives IP via DHCP) but cannot access internet via browser but the ping to 8.8.8.8 has response. If I connect the VM to Bridge I can browse internet via browser.

Any thoughts where can I start looking for problems.

Verify settings in VMWARE virtual network editor on DNS settings subpage.

Thanks for pointing that I had disabled the DNS Client in Windows, and manually added the DNS IP in the NAT DNS Settings, and its working.
