Hello,
We are running a Dell T310 with a Xeon x3440 64 bit processor. The host operating system is Windows Server 2008 64 bit. When I try to install Vista 64 bit or Windows 7 64 bit as Virtual Machines I get an error during the installation that reads "Attempting to Load a 64 bit application however this CPU does not support 64 bit mode"
I did an internet search and found this processor and Windows Vista are a fairly common combination.
If anyone has any thoughts I would greatly appreciate it.
VT-x is required for 64-bit guest support on Intel processors. Please see .
Did you enable VT (Intel Virtualization Technology) in the server's BIOS?
Also take a look at page 37 of the Workstation User’s Manual
