VIMA on ESXi 4.0 on VMWare Workstations 6.5.2

Well, the title gives the short short version. I was wanting to test the installation of the VIMA (VMware Infrastructure Management Assistant) in a copy of ESXi 4.0 that I have running in Workstation 6.5.2. When it boots, I get the "Your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32 bit distribution"

I downloaded the utilities here:

http://www.vmware.com/download/server/drivers_tools.html

and while it says that my computer I'm running workstation on can run 64 bit guest VMS, when I run the same tool inside of ESXi 4.0, it says I can't.

Is there anyway to make the Virtual Machine that I'm running ESXi on run 64 bit OS?

TIA

What kind of system are you running on and have you enabled VT in the BIOS?

Because VMware products do not virtualize the hardware virtualization features of the processor (or long mode segment limit checks on AMD processors), nested VMs are restricted to 32-bits. See .
