Using Winkey + L locks Base OS and VM - how to disable

When I use Winkey + L to lock my PC, it locks both the VM and the OS hosting the VM.  How can I make it so it only locks the VM?

Thanks!

Also - Base OS is Windows 7 x64.  VM is Windows XP x86.

Win+L seems to be a special case (similar I guess to CTRL+ALT+Del).

I thought you might be able to disable it on the host, so it would then only lock the guest, but looks like this is not possible. I was thinking you could have used 'autohotkey' ( http://www.autohotkey.com/ ), but on page http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/misc/Override.htm it says :

"You can disable all built-in Windows hotkeys except Win+L and Win+U by making the following change to the registry..."

The only other suggestion I have is to use an alternative method of locking the guest - perhaps using a shortcut such as described here:

Thanks.

Yeah, it looks tough to do.  I guess I'll just have to stick with CTRL-ALT-INS then ENTER to lock just the VM.  Was hoping for a one handed solution.

You'd have to have long fingers for a one hand solution with the keyboard. Smiley Wink

I keep a Shortcut on all my Windows Desktops wich executes the following command like suggested in one of the links posted by John Leask.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation

I then just double-click the Shortcut before I let go of the mouse.   I tend to be mouse-centric for some things over using the keyboard so this works well for me.
