also disable VMware DHCP and NAT service - you do not need them

Thanks very much for your help. I have also disabled the services you suggested. Reviewing the VMWare services, whate are:

1- VMWare Agent Service

2- VMWare Authorization Service

3- VMWare USB arbitration Service

Can they be disabled?

EDIT: I have disabled them all to see what happens. So far only "VMWare Authorization Service" is needed. Hope that #1, #3 disabled won't harm the VM. BTW, after I posted the message there seems to be a lot of extra blank lines added to the text. Where do these lines come from?

you probably want to set the VMWare Agent Service to startup type "manual" - its is used for the embedded Converter-function and you maybe never need it.

you can disable the VMWare Authorization Service if you

- always run with admin account

- never need to re-attach a GUI to a VM that was running in the background

- never use the eye-candy feature Unity

the authd service is a beast - whenever possible I disable it though YMMV

you can and should disable VMWare USB arbitration Service if you never use USB inside your VMs
