Using 10.0.0.x address from Linux VM in Bridged networking does not work

I have a set of VM running that all use Bridged networking.  They all have a 10.0.0.x address.  there is 3 Windows workstations, 3 Windows servers and one Centos Linux VM in this existing setup, all working fine.  The gateway is 10.0.0.2.

When I setup and confirm network settings using nmtui, or look at the setting using ip -a . all looks good.  But, I cannot ping anything....

When I setup DHCP on the same new rhel VM, it acquires an address fine, works great.  Not sure why manual/static address is not working.  I tried this on Ubuntu, Centos and RHEL.  all see the same results.  This tells me that it should be something with VMWare.

If Bridged networking is working with staic addresses on my other VMs, why is it not working on a new install?

Also:

I tried manually setting up the OS, and also let VMWare (workstation 15, btw) use the "easy" method  Both resulted in the same issue.

Thanks in advance....
