I have a support ticket in with vmware, but thought I'd ask here while I'm waiting to hear back.
I used Workstation 9 to download a guest vm to my win7 host PC to do some configuration on it. The download function worked just fine.
After I configured the guest, I wanted to upload it to our ESX host. Every time I try, I get this error:
Upload failed: Unexpected authentication request: vi://vcenter/.
I am using the domain and vcenter administrator account to do this. I've tried logging out and back in. I've got explicit rights via VMWorkstation's Permissions settings as well. But each time, I get this error message.
Any ideas on where to look from here?
Update: uploading directly to the esx host (without using vcenter) appears to work just fine.
